The Land Rover Discovery 5 is a real premium SUV, with large and heavy doors, but it lacks such a convenient feature as “soft close doors”.
Probably, the manufacturer deliberately deprived the model of such a feature in order to separate the Discovery from the Range Rover Sport. The installation involves the replacement of door locks with a factory set of locks with the ability to connect soft close doors system actuators, then the installation of the soft close actuators and connecting them to the vehicle electronic. After all the hardware is installed and connected, it is necessary to program and configure the system.
