Land Rover DISCOVERY 5 restyling headlights and taillights retrofit

From the 2021 model year, Land Rover has introduced a restyling for the Discovery 5, which has been in production since 2017. The car received exterior and significant interior changes. Appearance Land Rover DISCOVERY first of all changed due to the modified front headlights and rear taillights. The headlights became more expressive and modern, two wide LED lenses and new signature DRL emphasize the new design.

Our client, to whom we have already retrofitted adaptive cruise control and a blind spot monitoring system, contacted us with a wish to update his Land Rover DISCOVERY 5 and retrofit it with new restyled headlights and taillights:

Before the client’s arrival we have prepared all the necessary parts: headlights, tail lights, connectors, wiring. All parts are genuine:

The retrofitting Land Rover DISCOVERY 5 with restyled headlights and taillights consists of several stages:
Removing the front bumper, preparing wiring for new restyled headlights and connecting it to the vehicle, software works and testing. The process of installing the taillights is quite painstaking, because the taillights consist of four elements. Each of them must be connected separately, it is also necessary to conduct new wiring directly into the tailgate.

Our customer’s vehicle is 2017MY. Unfortunately, TFT instrument cluster from the factory was not available for this model year.
The TFT driver display has a high resolution and can display a large amount of driver information, infotainment system data, full screen navigation, driver assistance, telephone, etc.
The customer also asked to retrofit his Land Rover DISCOVERY 5 with an digital instrument cluster. which was done. We installed a TFT  instrument cluster, transferred the client’s data, VIN number and vehicle mileage. Carried out the necessary wiring for the navigation system and programmed the instrument cluster to the vehicle, replaced also the speedo plastic trim.
The TFT instrument cluster works with full functionality.
